Kitchen Remodel Project in Bergen County, NJ by Craig Allen Designs

This vintage bungalow kitchen remodel project has some interesting features, beyond being a beautiful, functional space.

Homeowners chose Black Slate Fingerprint Resistant appliances from GE instead of stainless steel finish.

The grooved board ceiling provides visual interest since raising the ceiling to use a more complex treatment wasn’t possible.

Subway tiles from countertop to ceiling were installed by the homeowner who wanted to keep the project within their budget and not have to forgo this design detail.

White painted Shaker style cabinets installed using flush inset. Always classic!

Black quartz countertops provide an interesting contrast to the white in the room.

Brackets with simple lines under the wall cabinets add a decorative touch.

The homeowners are happy with the finished kitchen design project. An excerpt from their thank you letter: “…our finished product has taken on its own personality … [it has] a kind of feeling when finished. We get comments about it being beautiful, but we especially appreciate the impression it creates. … The best part [of the kitchen] is when it’s a mess, it cleans up beautifully.”
